A long over due post. I watched this movie about a week back, and I must say; Disney deserves a pat on the back for this movie.
Warning Spoilers Ahead
Disney switched things up with this one. The obvious fact, there are TWO leading ladies. Debating with my little sister and mother over who we liked better was fun.
Then Disney did something unthinkable, they made fun of true love a first sight! And boy did they do it. Given Disney's history of gullible maidens, one would never have suspected that Hans was the villain. I did, however, have a twinge when Anna left the whole kingdom in his hands, but I soon forgot about it until the part where he reveals himself as the villain, and boy did he do it well. Here Anna comes, expecting Hans to be her savior and give her true loves kiss. What does Hans do? Oh yeah, he says "if only there was someone out there who loved you." Well, Damn. I was left speechless for 10 minutes. Hans effectively bitch slapped her and everyone in the audience. This, and the fact that he leaves Anna to freeze to death, makes Hans my favorite villain.
As much as I loved Hans' villain persona, I was kinda hoping he and Anna would stay together. For the sole purpose that I thought Elsa and Kristoff would have been a perfect "Disney" match. I mean she makes ice and he loves ice. Match made in heaven right there. Then there is the fact that she needed to learn to loosen up and the bumbling/light-hearted oaf would have done that. This connection is what probably drew me away from the Hans=villain feeling. I mean Disney wouldn't leave one sister without a boy would they?
They did. Which I'll admit, not too happy about. Elsa, one of my top 5 Disney leading ladies, gets jipped. I know she doesn't have social skills, but come on! Kristoff talks to his reindeer (another point for above). Elsa's magical skills, strength, and her sexy dress/attitude make her wayyyy cool. Elsa finding a man would be a great Frozen 2... hint hint Disney.
On another note the beginning definitely dragged me in.

Favorite Quote(s):
~Kristoff: It's okay, I have a thick skull.
Olaf the Snowman: I don't have a skull, or bones.
~Elsa: Let the storm rage on! The cold never bothered me anyway.
~Olaf the Snowman: Oh! I don't know why, but I've always loved the idea of summer and sun and all things hot.
Kristoff: Really? I'm guessing you don't have much experience with heat
Olaf the Snowman: Nope.
~Olaf the Snowman: And who's the funky looking donkey over there?
Anna: That's Sven.
Olaf the Snowman: Uh huh. And who's the reindeer?
Anna: Sven
Olaf the Snowman: Oh! They're...Oh. Okay! Makes things easier for me.
~Olaf the Snowman: When I finally do what frozen things do in summer!
Kristoff: I'm gonna tell him
Anna: Don't you dare!
All around Frozen is in my top 10 favorite Disney movies and I would recommend it to all.
